During the course of in-person playtesting, I received very useful general and specific feedback for this game. Overall, most people who played it really liked the concept. However, due to the short list of typable words, some felt they wanted to play for longer, and some even played a second time.

Things that the players liked include:

  1. The art style for the keyboard
  2. Tying over the letters rather than having an alternate place for the word
  3. The way the keys come off when they are pressed repeatedly

Things that the players suggested include:

  1. To make the keys that cannot be pressed automatically filled in by the plants that broke them
  2. Add a timer to see how quickly the words are typed
  3. Add a fault system or some element if you mistype the words

Overall, I’m very happy with this game demo. While it will not directly contribute to a larger project, it was a great learning experience in terms of the more technical side of game design. This is definitely a project I will look at finishing or remaking in the future.
