Dev Log 8


This week was focused on updating the visuals of the game. Tom (https://grumtom.itch.io/) continued updating the in-game models by adding an updated enemy model and a water model for the water spell. This new water element follows the nearest enemy and gradually ticks down their health. Additionally, new rooms to finish the playable area were added, and the game now finishes (with a black screen) when the player reaches the end.

We also spent this week focusing on developing our vision for the game. Stephen (https://stephenrockett.itch.io/) developed and designed a character sheet for the playable character. Although we do not intend the character to be updated to the same degree of detail within the game, it is very important, similar to the design sheet for Dev Log 6, that we understand the trajectory of the game and how we feel the game should be expressed.
